Maybe this is just me, but I’ve been programming in C++ for a little while, getting to know the basics, and starting to branch out into the more tricky areas.
However, I had an epiphany and realized that C++ has very niche uses, and my time would be better utilized learning a language like Python, as I assumed I’d be more flexible in projects, easier to backtest, manipulate data, etc.
But I just can’t. The syntax of just writing what you want, no indication of what line ends where, the errors due to a wrong indentation, etc. I probably just suck at coding, but it feels impossible to learn the libraries like backtrader for example. Do you guys actually learn the library, or is it just copy and pasting with changing parameters?
Are there any other C++ or non-Python programmers here who can relate?
