newbie trying to make an python bot

I'm a 17 y old finance (diploma) student, I've yet to learn finance in school just the basic business modules but I've read books on the stock market & technical analysis. I learnt basic python in school and now I'm looking to make an trading bot but I'm really stuck,, scrolling endlessly on the Internet. For those who have been successful would you guys mind sharing which resource works best for you? I have a cousin enrolling into CS soon and I think that would be quite helpful in developing a trading bot?. I just tried alpaca api etc,, but I don't know how to move on from there other than buying and selling which is really sad. I want to be able to make trades based on the indicators like fibonacci numbers/projections and the simple moving average as a start. any advice on which resources I could use? thank you in advance ☺
