Algotrading IN a tax-advantaged account?

Just wondering if algotrading is something you can do inside of, say, a Roth IRA.

I'm NOT asking whether the rules for withdrawal changes in these accounts.

I'm asking if they offer the same amount of tools/support as a regular Individual brokerage account.

For example, are TDAmeritrade's APIs available EXCLUSIVELY for Individual accounts? or is algotrading with their APIs something you can ALSO do in an IRA?

Maybe this isn't something you can do in a 401k as those are usually limited by your employer but…….. any thoughts/answers on IRA's ?

Thanks !
