I have been a freelance software developer on and off for the last 20 years. I have built a number of trading algos in the equity and options market. I tend to enjoy this work more than building the web app of the day.
Thinking about changing my freelance practice to just focusing on building algos for customers. More or less customers outline what they want their algo to do. I code out to meet needs.
I am posting here to measure if this type of focused service would be well received. What is the general sense here, are most people developers doing their own work or is there a demand for matching non-developers with developers to build algos.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
