Assuming the election is causing the market to dip (which seems to be the case), which candidate would have to WIN for the market to become more stable short term?

I don’t want this post to devolve into discussing specific politics and our personal stances. Rather, I’m curious about the stock market and how the election is impacting it.

Do NOT use this post as a reason to vote one way or another! Do your research if you haven’t already.

But here’s my personal view in a nutshell:

Trump wins – The market becomes more stable, since we more or less know what to expect from a Trump presidency. Not as much uncertainty.

Biden wins – The market becomes more volatile, since this is a brand new president, so uncertainty is high
