I have just watched this video about an algorithmic trading strategy, and I got annoyed by the fact that it seems to me this is a clear scam. The results this guy is claiming are unrealistic, especially for a purely mechanical entry system such as the one he is talking about.
In short, it's a basic moving average crossover system where you buy and sell every touch of the slower average as long as price has been below it for a number of candles on the 1h timeframe. Stops goes 5 points above or below the highest/lowest of the last three fractal points and targets are fixed at 1.5R.
Now, I am currently trading a discretionary system in the forex market and I'm not really looking for new strategies. I am happy where I am. What I am not happy about is this guy flaunting this holy grail system and then using his claims to sell his program. He has a lot of influence and, if this is faked, he is harming a lot of people. I want to have proof that this is not real, but I am not a coder so I wouldn't know where to start. Can you guys help me out? It seems simple to program. And if it turns out it works, you got a profitable strategy out of it (you don't need to give it to me, I don't care, I only care if it turns out his results are faked).
